Dear Friends,
We were praying about what our next project should be when we received word of the terrible destruction in Madagascar. Tropical Cyclone Gezani slammed Madagascar’s eastern coast with deadly force. Sustained winds reached an estimated 125 mph. A number of people were killed as buildings collapsed. The city of Tamatave was 80-90% destroyed. Homes and churches were damaged or destroyed. Thousands of people are in desperate need of help.
We contacted our friend, Paul Rakoto, the African director of TransAfrican Education Network, who lives there, and asked how we could help. He said they need food for the victims and materials to rebuild homes and churches.
Will you please help us help the people of Tamatave recover, repair, and rebuild.
Sincerely,
Alec D. Brooks
